In the wake of the Chauvin trial, the police shooting of Ma’Khia Bryant, and ongoing violence in the U.S., the Amplify team is hosting a special Accomplices Town Hall on Friday, April 23 at 4:00 PM Eastern/1:00 PM Pacific. For July’s meeting, we’ll be discussing the blog series recently posted by Amplify member Jessica Murphy, M.Ed.

Join us on Thursday, June 25 at 6:00 PM MST as we reschedule and transform our June Pride kickoff meeting to discuss how we can work together to learn, grow and educate ourselves in the space of anti-racism. We want to open up the (virtual) floor for a candid discussion surrounding resources and support. Please consider these questions before attending:

• What are your thoughts on systemic racism and the challenges we face as we work to overcome it?

• Which resources (books, podcasts, movies, etc.) have you turned to recently to learn more about racism?

Amplify events often include conversations—open, respectful, and probably a little uncomfortable in a good way—among people who are developing awareness of their own privileges and are interested in using that privilege to lift up those from underrepresented backgrounds.
